Dr Elizabeth Fara grew up in Western Iowa.  She graduated from Iowa State University in 2007 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She started her career practicing mixed animal medicine in rural southern Iowa and moved to the Ames/Des Moines area to work in small animal medicine.  She has spent most of her career in this area practicing small animal medicine only.

Her professional areas of interest are pain management, dentistry and medicine. 

Outside of work Dr Fara enjoys spending time in the quiet of nature with her family and reading all the books.
